Buying watches ‘is about pure fantasy’
People no longer buy watches so that they can tell the time,
they purchase them as “pure fantasy”.
This is according to Laura McCreddie and Jenni Middleton of
Retail Jeweller, who argued that gents’ and ladies’ watches could
be the ideal gift to offer at Christmas.
The pair pointed out that buying a watch allows a person to
imagine they are rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous.
“In fact, a watch as a gift is more about grown-up dressing up
and playing let’s pretend. Today, you can imagine you are a pilot,
a sports star or even an astronaut,” they said.

of the golfer Tiger Woods or the racing driver Lewis Hamilton, as
both have sponsorship deals with the watchmaker.
Earlier this month, Essex newspaper the Echo reported that a
local woman is offering a cash reward for the return of her Tag
Heuer watch.
The timepiece was taken while she was showering at the David
Lloyds gym in Eastwood. see more copy de montre and Chopard Montres
